Born in the year of lockdown
WHO WE ARE – Focus On
We started in 2020 as an experimental project and in 2023, SlowStayInItaly became a cultural association dedicated to promoting slow and family-friendly tourism. We are a network of hosts managing small hospitality venues such as B&Bs, holiday homes, farm stays and countryside retreats.
Each of us embodies the essence of authentic and welcoming hospitality, while every location offers the joy of experiencing places where time slows down, embracing local traditions and respecting the environment. Every accommodation is unique and the SlowStay network spans different price ranges, services, and experiences.
The desire to share, which emerged during the 2020 lockdown, gave us the awareness that our uniqueness is our true strength. That’s why you won’t find two identical stays in our network; that’s why scents, flavours and smiles may change, but one thing will always remain the same – you will feel at home when staying in a SlowStayInItaly property.

We chose to establish an association with unique characteristics that make SlowStay truly special.
One of the most remarkable aspects is that every member contributes to the association by offering their time and skills for the benefit of all. This way, each member gains from the work and expertise of others, and teamwork amplifies even the smallest effort. This shared commitment thrives on the principle of mutual non-competition.
STRENGTH IN UNITY
Each member has one or more well-defined roles to ensure everything runs smoothly. Everyone works for the group. The group, in turn, brings visibility to the individual. This structure transforms small efforts into a powerful collective impact, while fostering genuine appreciation—not just as hosts, but as people.
That’s why we often say that we are one big family.
